چکیده

In Kurnool district, due to the hot, arid climatic conditions, proper study of crop evapotranspiration and its effect on water demand for various crops is an extremely important issue. More focus will be given design development surface irrigation systems based mostly furrow irrigation, as rainfall pattern this district was irregular in 2005. The requirement parameters optimising beneficial utilisation available resources field performances are studied research. Some major crops, such cotton, sugarcane, sorghum, maize, sunflower, considered when adopting a suitable system soil conditions types black clay, red loamy, medium loam. reference estimated 2005 Penman–Monteith equation per FAO guidelines by CROPWAT 8.0 model. Crop Water Requirement (CWR), Net Irrigation (NIR), Gross (GIR) were determined conditions. Soil characteristics using AQUACROP 6.1 compared with model accuracy. Various conservative non-conservative under limited set correlation equations developed between different parameters. Moreover, FURDEV (a module SURDEV model) three modes operation (i.e., fixed flow, cutback tailwater reuse method) modified SCS (Soil Conservation Service) families infiltration characteristics. NIR values 200 mm, 1423.2 220 150 mm respectively. A maximum significant dry yield observed maize (13.586 tonnes/ha). Additionally, application efficiency storage obtained at 95.5% sorghum 99.3% which would outcome general, results research might very effective authority District plan approaches designing developing management systems.

Comparison of One-point and Two-point Methods for Estimation of Infiltration Parameters in Furrow Irrigation

Infiltration is one of the most important hydraulic parameters affecting surface irrigation and one ofthe most difficult parameters in practical field determinations. The infiltration equations are used todescribe water flow hydraulics and surface irrigation systems design. But determination of theparameters in these equations are costly and time consuming. Therefore, some estimating methods ar...

Mediterranean irrigation under climate change: more efficient irrigation needed to compensate for increases in irrigation water requirements

Irrigation in the Mediterranean is of vital importance for food security, employment and economic development. This study systematically assesses how climate change and increases in atmospheric CO2 concentrations may affect irrigation requirements in the Mediterranean region by 2080–2090. Future demographic change and technological improvements in irrigation systems are taken into account, as i...

Optimizing Irrigation Schedule to Maximize Water Use Efficiency of Hibiscus sabdariffa under Shalatien Conditions

A substantial experiment was conducted throughout two consecutive growing seasons of 2005/2006 and 2006/2007 at the experimental station of Shalatien, South – east of Egypt to elucidate the optimizing irrigation schedule to maximize water use efficiency of Roselle, Hibiscus sabdariffa., under moisture stress. This work was accomplished by designing 75 experimental units with split plot design. ...

An integrated crop and hydrologic modeling system to estimate hydrologic impacts of crop irrigation demands

The present paper discusses a coupled gridded crop modeling and hydrologic modeling system that can examine the benefits of irrigation and costs of irrigation and the coincident impact of the irrigation water withdrawals on surface water hydrology. The system is applied to the Southeastern U.S. The system tools to be discussed include a gridded version (GriDSSAT) of the crop modeling system DSS...
